Maa Kamakhya ( মা কামাখ্যা )

মা কামাখ্যা 

অসমের রাজধানী গৌহাটী শহর  থেকে দশ কিলোমিটার দূরে নীলাচল পাহাড়ে সতীর একান্ন পিঠের অন্যতম পিঠ – মা কামাখ্যার মন্দির।অদূরেই ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদ বয়ে চলেছে।  গৌহাটী তথা অসমের প্রাচীন নাম ছিল প্রাগ্জ্যোতিষপুর । পরবর্তীকালে এই নাম বদলে হয়ে যায় কামরূপ।আজও তাই মানুষের মুখে মুখে “কামরূপ কামাখ্যা” নামটি প্রচলিত।

এটি নীলাচল পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় অবস্থিত এবং বেসরকারী যানবাহন পাশাপাশি সরকারী পরিবহন, বেসরকারী ট্যাক্সি, অ্যাপ ভিত্তিক ট্যাক্সি পরিষেবা যেমন উবার ও ওলা, অটোরিকশা ইত্যাদি ব্যবহার করা যায়। এই পাহাড়ের অন্যান্য অনেক মন্দিরও রয়েছে এবং এটি ভাল হবে কামাখ্যা মন্দিরে যাওয়ার সময় এগুলোরও  দর্শন করে নেওয়া।

কামাখ্যা মন্দিরটি ভারতের উত্তর-পূর্বাঞ্চল এবং পূর্বাঞ্চলের মধ্যে একটি শ্রদ্ধেয় মন্দির এবং এটি একটি, অন্যান্য  শক্তি পীঠগুলির মধ্যে অন্যতম । এর ধর্মীয় তাত্পর্য অনেক বেশি। অন্য যে কোনও বিখ্যাত মন্দিরের মতো, কামাখ্য মন্দির খুব ভিড় হয় এবং দর্শন পেতে সময় লাগে। ভিআইপি পাস পাওয়া যায়, তবে কেবল সীমিত সংখ্যায়, একবার যদি এই পাসগুলি শেষ হয়ে যায়, কাউন্টারটি বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। তাই আপনি খুব ভোরে যান এবং ভিআইপি পাস পেতে সক্ষম হলে দর্শন দ্রুত হযে যাবে।অন্যথায়  আপনি  মন্দিরের ভিতরে প্রবেশ করবেন না, তবে আপনি বাইরে থেকে দ্রুত পূজা এবং নৈবেদ্য প্রদান করতে পারবেন।

আশা করি নীচে বর্ণিত পদক্ষেপগুলি আপনাকে এই সুন্দর এবং শুভ মন্দিরে যেতে সাহায্য করতে পারে।

1. টপের  ডানদিক থেকে  একটি ট্যাক্সি নিন ।

২. উপরে উঠতে সিঁড়ি দিয়ে উপরে উঠুন। মন্দির কমপ্লেক্সের ঠিক আগে পাদুকা রাখুন। তারা একটি টোকেন দেয়।

৩.লাল গালিচা অনুসরণ করুন এবং টিকিট কাউন্টার এ পৌঁছান। টিকেট কেনা হয়ে গেলে এগুলি যত্নে রাখুন ।

4. সারিবদ্ধ হয়ে লাইনে দাঁড়ান ।

৫. আপনি একটি ছোট ব্যাগ নিতে পারেন এবং  একটি ছোট বোতলে  জল বহন করুন।

৬. এরপরে আপনাকে অপেক্ষার স্থানে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে।

৭. এটি যদি ভিড়ের দিন হয় তবে শেষ হোল্ডিং এরিয়ায় পৌঁছাতে সর্বোচ্চ 3 ঘন্টা সময় লাগবে।

৮. সেখান থেকে অন্যান্য দর্শনীয় স্থান  দেখতে এবং প্রস্থান করতে আরও ১ ঘন্টা সময় লাগবে।

কলকাতা থেকে গৌহাটি আস্তে গেলে —

 ১)হাওড়া থেকে ৩ টা  ৫০মিনিটে (১২৩৪৫)আপ সরাইঘাট এক্সপ্রেস ছেড়ে পরেরদিন সকাল ৯ টা ৩৫ মিনিটে গৌহাটি পৌঁছায়।

২) বিকেল ৫ টা  ৩৫ মিনিটে ছাড়ে (১৫৯৫৯) কামরূপ এক্সপ্রেস

৩) শিয়ালদা স্টেশন থেকে সকাল  ৬টা  ৩৫ মিনিটে ছাড়ে (১৫৬৫৭) কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা এক্সপ্রেস আর গৌহাটি পৌঁছায় ভোর ৪ টায় ।

৪) রাট ৯তা ৪০ মিনিটে ছাড়ে গরিব রথ (১২৫১৭) সপ্তাহে দু দিন ( বৃহস্পতিবার ও রবিবার )

৫) প্রতি বুধবার রাত ৯তা ৪০ মিনিটে ছাড়ে কলকাতা ডিব্রুগড় এক্সপ্রেস (১২৫২৫ )

Maa Kamakhya

Maa kamakhya Temple is 10 km away from the city of Guwahati, the capital of Assam. The ancient name of Guwahati i.e. Assam was Pragjyotispur. Later, the name was changed to Kamrupa.

Guwahati is the largest city in the Indian state of Assam and also the largest metropolis in the Northeast India. Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for very nicely built and maintained temple, where lot of history were hidden, nice to explore and worship of Maa Kamakhya along with all rituals, nice road and view of nilachal hill.  Our country has so much beautiful diversity and that shows in our faith also. Jai maa Kamakhya Devi. It is located at a hilltop and can be accessed by private vehicles as well as public transportation, private taxis, app based taxi services like Uber & Ola, auto rickshaws, etc. The hill has many other temples as well and it would be a good idea to visit them while going to the Kamakhya Temple

Kamakhya temple is a revered temple among northeast and eastern part of India and also a, one of the revered Shakti Peeths. As with any other famous temple, Kamakhya temple is very crowded and it takes hours to get darshan. There are VIP passes available but only in limited number, once those passes get over, counter is closed. Darshan is quicker if you visit early in the morning and able to get a VIP pass. Otherwise you can also do mukhdarshan where you will not be entering the inside temple but you can do quick puja and offerings from outside.

1. Took a cab right to the top
2. Climb up the stairs all the way to the top. Keep footwear just before the temple complex. They give a token. 
3. Follow the red carpet right up to the ticket counter. Buy tickets. Don’t lose them.
4. Queue up
5. You can take a small bag, no rucksacks. Carry a small bottle of water. 
6. You are then taken to a waiting area. 
7. If it is a crowded day, it will take 3 hours max to reach the last holding area. 
8. From there it takes 1 more hour to visit the sanctum sanctorum and exit. 

From Kolkata to Guwahati—

1) By Saraighat Express (12345), arriving at Guwahati the in the next morning at 9.35 am from Howrah.

2) Departure at 5.35 pm, Kamrup Express (15959)

3) Departure at 6.35 a.m., Kanchenjunga Express (15657) from Shialda Station.

4) At night 9.40p.m leave Garib Rath (12517) two days a week (Thursday and Sunday).

5) Departure from Kolkata Dibrugarh Express (122027) every Wednesday night at 9.40p.m.
